چکیده

Many patients with clinically severe obesity (CSO) need to undergo bariatric surgery, possible side effects, so individualized predictive methods are required. Adipocytokines and gut/intestinal microbiota-derived metabolites could be biomarkers of metabolic success post- but the knowledge in this field is undefined. The objective work was determine whether adipocytokines can used predict improvement surgery women CSO. We analyzed circulating levels some cytokines at baseline 12 months post-surgery from 44 CSO 21 normal weight. Results showed that glucose, insulin, glycosylated hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c), low-density lipoprotein (LDL-C), triglycerides were decreased post-surgery, while high density increased. Twelve later, leptin, resistin, lipocalin, PAI-1, TNF-α, IL-1β lower than baseline, meanwhile adiponectin, IL-8, IL-10 Moreover, lipocalin associated HbA1c reduction post-surgery; resistin related postoperative HOMA2 (insulin resistance) propionate LDL-C decrease. To conclude, detection may following although new needed.

Gut Microbiota and Metabolic Disorders

Gut microbiota plays critical physiological roles in the energy extraction and in the control of local or systemic immunity. Gut microbiota and its disturbance also appear to be involved in the pathogenesis of diverse diseases including metabolic disorders, gastrointestinal diseases, cancer, etc. In the metabolic point of view, gut microbiota can modulate lipid accumulation, lipopolysaccharide ...

Differential Adaptation of Human Gut Microbiota to Bariatric Surgery–Induced Weight Loss

OBJECTIVE Obesity alters gut microbiota ecology and associates with low-grade inflammation in humans. Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB) surgery is one of the most efficient procedures for the treatment of morbid obesity resulting in drastic weight loss and improvement of metabolic and inflammatory status. We analyzed the impact of RYGB on the modifications of gut microbiota and examined links wit...

Host-gut microbiota metabolic interactions.

The composition and activity of the gut microbiota codevelop with the host from birth and is subject to a complex interplay that depends on the host genome, nutrition, and life-style. The gut microbiota is involved in the regulation of multiple host metabolic pathways, giving rise to interactive host-microbiota metabolic, signaling, and immune-inflammatory axes that physiologically connect the ...
